Erlinde Cornelis
Jan 17Erlinde Cornelis is an Associate Professor at the Fowler College of Business Marketing Department. Although she is a Professor of Marketing, she also has a profound passion for sustainability, and she implements it into all aspects of her life- including her classes. Professor Cornelis serves as the head of the Senate Sustainability Committee at SDSU where she assists in planning and advocating for sustainability on campus.
Olivia DeVito
Nov 28Olivia DeVito is a second year at San Diego State University studying Sustainability with a Minor in Ecology. She is currently serving as the transportation chair for Green Love through Associated Students along with being a member of Epsilon Eta, an eco-centered fraternity.

Shefali Sharma
Sep 22Shefali Sharma is a 3rd year, psychology and pre-med student here at SDSU. She is currently leading her organization, Save Soil, which promotes awareness of soil degradation across the globe. The Save Soil movement originated in India and is now a worldwide movement. Shefali came across the global movement and decided to take part and bring awareness to San Diego State. The goal of Save Soil is to spread awareness about the lack of soil nutrients and to change policy across the world

Aug 20Kaylen Wilson, a graduate student from San Diego State University’s Environmental Health Lab run by Dr. Eunha Hoh, recently led the achievement of gold level certification through My Green Lab®, making their lab the first to be certified on campus!

May 15Anna Cilley graduated from SDSU in 2022 with a B.A. in Sustainability. She now works as the Assistant Operations Manager for non-profit Plastic Beach.

Richard Ybarra
Nov 7Alum Richard Ybarra attended SDSU in the 1970s, later on becoming involved in the Farm Workers’ Movement and the Environmentalist Movement. He is currently the president of the Ybarra Company on Public Affairs. Sharing over 30 years of leadership experience, Ybarra was able to offer valuable advice to help all of the SDSU community in promoting environmentalism and diversity! Read here.
