Bio
"As the Energy Analyst, I analyze utilities data and look for ways to maximize efficiency, especially as it relates to energy usage, at the main campus of SDSU and its various outposts and auxiliaries. I also work on furthering initiatives of our office and the University as a whole including the CAP, composting pilot program, and efforts towards carbon neutrality. I want to help SDSU in its efforts to be a global leader on equity, environmentalism, & sustainability which will not only have a powerful impact on our University and its surrounding communities but can hopefully be a beacon of hope around the globe.”
Sustainability Origin Story: "Growing up on Long Island, NY my earliest memories are tied to a connection with nature, in particular the water. I spent summers on Long Island beaches (Shoutout to Gilgo Beach) and was introduced at a young age to learning about aquatic and marine wildlife and ecosystems. I’ve always loved the ocean and have consistently found it as a place of peace, wonder, comfort, and excitement throughout my life. As I became educated I realized that conservation alone may not be enough to preserve our delicate ecosystems if societies continued to develop without proper consideration for the natural world and so I have dedicated the last few years of my life to helping promote and implement sustainable practices.”
