Bio

I work as the Energy Analyst Student Assistant with the Office of Energy and Sustainability. I keep track of the utility invoices, and utility usage across the whole campus. We aim to implement energy efficiency projects around campus and track their success. I also help other student assistants with their projects, and we work as a team to create a sustainable campus. Creating a campus that is sustainable and environmentally conscious shows that other campuses can follow in our footsteps. There are always ways to improve our green campus initiatives, and I am excited to be a part of that.

Sustainability Origin Story: My sustainability origin story is a little different than others. I spent my childhood outdoors camping, swimming, skiing, biking, etc, but I also spent my childhood in New Mexico. In New Mexico, I was never educated on environmental problems and solutions. After moving to California, I was exposed to a whole new world where sustainable practices are taught and prioritized. I realized that I had a lot to learn and implement in my own life to protect the outdoors areas that I loved. After taking an environmental science class, I decided that a career in sustainability was my goal. I have come a long way, and I'm constantly learning more about our environment and what it takes to protect it.
