Bio
As the Zero Waste Intern, I am responsible for maintaining the waste and recycling invoices and work on projects and reports to help our campus reach its zero waste goals. I want to help SDSU create as little waste as possible so that we can have a clean, healthy, and sustainable community. I love working closely with the other interns since I get to see the great projects they are working on, and because we all share a passion for sustainability.
Sustainability Origin Story: I grew up in San Jose, California. Being from the Bay Area, I was taught about sustainable practices from a young age, both in school and at home. When I was a kid, sustainability wasn't really something I thought much about, I just normally practiced it. As I've gotten older, I've grown to appreciate nature and our planet in a more meaningful way. I would hate to see nature polluted and destroyed, so I've made it my mission to promote sustainability wherever I go, and however I can.
