Events
There are a variety of sustainability events happening around campus and in the community. These are great opportunities to expand your sustainability knowledge and network. Submit your events to [email protected].
Some of the sustainability events held on campus include:
- Green Lunch Bag Series - The GLBS is a sustainability minded event held in the Student Union theater every month to raise awareness and stimulate conversation about various topics in sustainability. The events consist of various guest speakers, interactive activities, and documentaries. Free Oggi's pizza is usually provided with options for vegetarians and vegans as well!
- GreenFest - GreenFest, presented by SDSU's Associated Students and Enviro-Business Society, is a series of events and initiatives which encourage, celebrate, and advocate for sustainability, SDSU Pride, and diversity. These events are held throughout the fall and spring semesters. Past GreenFest events include: Bike Brunch, Enviro-Fashion Show, Meatless Monday, keynote speakers, and the E3 Business Fair.
- Bike to Work Day - Bike to Work Day is held in May each year. If you have a bike, gear up and ride to work in promotion of clean energy transportation! SDSU sponsors a pit-stop on campus as part of SANDAG's iCommute program where bicyclists can stop to pick up a free t-shirt, snacks, and receive encouragement to re-energize along the road!
